| Hal Beyers (left), an Aurora resident
since 1960, recently donated an E-flat Helicon tuba to the Old Aurora
Colony Museum.
The instrument is the first of its kind to be donated to the museum, and it will be added to a new acquisition exhibit currently on display. Local musical expert Dr. John Richards (right) has restored most of the Colony instruments. He appraised the instrument at $2,200, which he said is the price it would sell to a collector for. |
